Meet Our Executive Council
What is e-council? Every chapter of Phi Sigma Sigma has their very own executive council. The executive council is a body of elected members who help to organize events within the sorority and maintain our livelihood. Chairwoman of e-council organize social gatherings with the fraternities and other organizations on campus, host philanthropy events for our national philanthropy, the Phi Sigma Sigma Foundation, maintain academic standing within the sorority, and manage our social media accounts along with many other vital tasks. Each council is held responsible for specific tasks. E-council positions are just below e-board positions but are of equal importance. There are 14 positions in total. The description of each position is listed below.
Social Chair: Taylor O'Neil

Description: The social committee is responsible for planning all social functions with other Greek and outside organizations. During each semester this committee plans one social night and one event or philanthropy with each fraternity. This committee also is responsible for setting up social events and getting involved in social events on the campus. In addition, the social chair will be in charge of planning the semi formal and formal events during the fall and spring semesters.
Heath and Wellness Chair: Diandra Gillis

Description: The Health and Wellness committee is responsible for planning the Substance Abuse event and the Personal Wellness event. These events must be submitted for Chapter Excellence. These events should consist of learning about one's health or doing an activity to promote the wellness of each sister.
Sunshine and Spirit Chair: Nina Colon

Description: It shall be the duty of the Sunshine and Spirit Committee to acknowledge birthdays with cards or a personal effect. She shall acknowledge other special events and in general, keep up the morale of the chapter. Along with her committee and the chapter she may appoint a sister of the week and queen of the month. It shall be the duty of Sunshine and Spirit Committee to plan a senior sendoff at the end of each semester or at the end of each year, leaving it up to the discretion of the chair.
Fundraising Chair: Aubrey Haines

Description: The Fundraising committee is responsible for planning and executing events to raise money for the chapter. The conclusion of each academic year a charitable donation of ten percent will be made to the Phi Sigma Sigma Foundation. This committee should plan at least one major fundraiser per semester.
Philanthropy Chair: Michaela Ward

Description: The Philanthropy is responsible for planning and supervising philanthropic events. This committee unites the chapter with the campus and the community. This committee is also responsible for at least one philanthropic event per school year. This committee should plan one event for the academic year that benefits the Phi Sigma Sigma Foundation.
Multicultural & Diversity Chairs: Nicole Abreu & Alex Herlihy
Description: The Multicultural and Diversity committee should help the sisters embrace inclusiveness, one of the Phi Sigma Sigma's core values. This committee must develop a program to create understanding and appreciation of not only sisters, but for all people of other cultures, heritages, backgrounds, perspectives, and religions. This committee must plan at least one activity each school year. The chair must also be able to give sisters resources to multicultural events happening on campus. These events must be submitted for Chapter Excellence.

Public Realtions Chair: Julia Fitzgerald

Description: The Public Relations committee is responsible for implementing and monitoring the chapter's relation efforts. This includes both internal and external relations, such as relations with in the chapter, Greek life, the university, the community, Headquarters, and the Sphinx. Public relations must work very closely with all committees as far as notification, accommodations, and other requests.
Scholarship Chair: Joanne Tsang

Description: The Scholarship committee shall oversee each member's academic progress. A scholarship plan for the chapter must be developed. This committee also provides feedback to members who do well or show progress. This committee is expected to set up mandatory study sessions (Table Time) each month. The scholarship committee will assign scholarship sisters and study sisters. The Scholarship Committee must hold the Lifelong Learning Event and must submit it for Chapter Excellence.

Description: The Insignia committee is responsible for designing or setting up and ordering anything that sorority has decided to purchase. This includes apparel, glassware, gifts, awards, and jewelry. The Insigina Committee is responsible for ordering the Academic Dangles and Stolls for the graduating seniors.
Parents Chairs: Kourtney Kellard

Description: The Parent's committee is responsible for nurturing and maintaining relationships with each sister's parents or guardians. They are also responsible for organizing events throughout the year for parents and their daughters. They are responsible for sending out a newsletter to the parents at least once a semester.
Alumni Chairs: Ashley Shotwell

Description: The Alumnae Committee is responsible for notifying and inviting all Iota Pi Alumnae of necessary events and information within the chapter. They should be included in group insignia orders. They are responsible for sending out a newsletter to the Alumnae at least once a semester. They are responsible for holding one Alumae event per year.
Sisterhood Chair: Nikkie Melanson

Minor: Educational Studies and Psychology
Description: The Sisterhood Committee is responsible for making sure the chapter's attitude is positive and upbeat. This committee is also in place to help keep the members motivated and high-spirited. The Sisterhood committee is responsible for planning activities that are interesting, fun, and focus on our core values for our members. The Sisterhood Committee is responsible for holding at least one official (mandatory) sisterhood event a semester and can add unofficial sisterhood events at any point.

Description: The Service Committee is responsible for planning and supervising community service activities for the chapter; individualized or as a whole. The Service Committee will be responsible for working with the Philanthropy chair and ensuring each sister completes ten (10) hours of community service.
