Meet Our Executive Board

What is e-board? Every chapter of Phi Sigma Sigma has their very own executive board. The executive board is a body of elected members who jointly oversee the activities of our organization. The executive board is the core of our sorority; they help to keep us united and ensure a strong sisterhood along with organization and valued morals. There are ten positions in total. The description of each position is listed below. 

Archon: Caitlyn Aborn 

Year: Senior
Class: Delta
Major:  English

Minor: Educational Studies

Description:  It shall be the duty of the Archon to preside at all meetings of her chapter. Call all special meetings, and enforce due observance of, and compliance with, the Ritual, Constitution, Policies and Bylaws, and perform such other duties as usually devolve upon a presiding officer and the executive head of an organization. She shall only vote if there is a tie (excluding elections) if she is the presiding officer at the meeting. She shall serve as a delegate to Fraternity conclaves. She shall be directly responsible for national correspondence and her chapter's performance.

Vice Archon: Ella Haines

Year: Senior
Class: Eta
Major: Biology Concentration in Marine Science

Minor: Chemistry

Description:  It shall be the duty of the Vice Archon to perform the duties of the Archon in the absence of that officer. She shall be custodian of the Ritual, enforce due observance of and compliance with the Ritual, Constitution, Policies, and Bylaws. She shall be responsible for Fraternity Education and shall make all necessary preparations for the chapter with reference to the Fraternity examinations. She shall implement chapter bylaws and traditions. She shall be an ex-officio non-voting member of the Standards Board. She shall chair the executive board and the executive council of the chapter and shall supervise chapter chairmen and committees. She will be a member of finance committee. She shall be the chairman of the constitution committee and is responsible for interpreting, revising, and distributing the constitution, bylaws, rules, and regulations of the chapter, with the help of the constitution committee.

Member At  Large: Jordan Bradbury 

Year: Junior
Class: Zeta
Major: Business Concentration in Entrepreneurship

Description: It  is the duty of the Member at Large to serve as a chairman of the Standards Board, which ensures that standards of the chapter are being upheld. She serves as liaison between the executive board and the chapter. In conjunction with the archon, vice archon and standards board, she shall interpret the constitution, bylaws, rules, and regulations of the chapter. If a sister needs guidance, then she will serve as a mediator and her her to the best of her ability. 

Bursar: Katyana Sheridan 

Year: Senior
Class: Zeta
Major: Math

Minor: Chemistry and Computer Science

Description: It is the duty of the Bursar to collect and disburse all funds belonging to the chapter, to keep an accurate account of all money received and expended, and to render a report at each meeting concerning the financial affairs of the chapter, as well as to make a specific report in writing throughout her term of office and at the closing of her term in office. She also maintains and manages the chapter's Billhighway account. 

Membership Recruitment: Renee LeBlanc 

Year: Junior
Class: Zeta
Major:  Psychology

Minor: Dance

Description:  It shall be the duty of the Membership Recruitment Chairman to oversee all membership recruitment events. She shall be responsible for the planning and implementation of the chapter membership recruitment program and the chapter's compliance with the international Membership Recruitment Policy. Membership Recruitment Chairman shall plan and execute bid day along with recruitment week. She shall create appropriate ad hoc committees for events deemed necessary.

Sisterhood Development: Caitlyn Dooley

Year: Senior
Class: Delta
Major:  Elementary Education and Geography

Minor: English

Description:  It shall be the duty of the Sister Development Chairman to oversee the activities related to member development programming. She shall work with the new sisters during the orientation program as well as the chapter as a whole at times throughout the year. It is also her duty to match Sapphire Sisters together with the Archon present during matching for input.

Scribe: Leah Cafarelli

Year: Senior
Class: Zeta
Major:  Business Concentration in Entrepreneurship

Minor: Public Relations

Description:  It shall be the duty of the Scribe to manage correspondence with headquarters. She is responsible for making sure that all items that are required for the Chapter Excellence Program are submitted correctly and on time. She shall also be responsible for notifying Headquarters immediately of any changes in membership status. She may also serve as an assistant to the Vice Archon in educating Executive Council about the Chapter Excellence Program. She shall preserve files of her correspondence. She shall notify all members of special meetings. She shall collect the ballots at elections if an alumna or faculty is unavailable. She shall be in charge of and maintain the collegiate files and shall annually compile and maintain an up-to-date record of the names and addresses of the collegiate members of her chapter as part of the chapter's permanent record book.

Tribune: Lizzy Ferriera

Year: Senior
Class: Zeta

Major:  Business Concentration in Marketing

Minor: Public Relations

Description: It shall be the duty of the Tribune to keep an accurate, permanent account of the proceedings of her chapter. She will serve as historian chairman. She shall take roll at all Phi Sigma Sigma events. She shall also be the chairman of the Historian committee. 

Greek Council Delegate: Rebecca Kaplan

Year: Senior
Class: Zeta

Major:  Psychology

Description:  It is the duty of the Greek Council Delegate to represent Phi Sigma Sigma at meetings held by the campus for matters concerning other sororities and fraternities on campus. It is also the duty of Greek Council Delegate to appropriately represent the chapter at all Greek Life Meetings. She attends meetings every week with the two fraternities on campus to better the presence  of Greek life as a whole on campus. She also helps to plan "Greek Week."

Risk Manager: Brianna Spinney

Year: Senior
Class: Zeta

Major:  Early Childhood Education

Description:  It shall be the duty of the Risk Manager to hold an Anti Hazing event and submit it for Chapter Excellence. She shall be responsible for chairing the Rapid Response Team. She shall keep the Emergency bag and the emergency information binder up to date. She shall work the Member at Large to ensure the chapter is following our Internet Etiquette and Phi Sigma Sigma’s drug and alcohol and Anti Hazing Policies.
